site critic needed

Ok, I dont mean to sound harsh here but it looks as if its been put together randomly without any thought to the design. NGN Media? "Media" makes me think professional design but the site is far from professional.

There seems to be a lot of attention on the shoutbox but not on the forum, I for one wouldnt have a shoutbox at such an early stage in the forums development as it takes away peoples time from the forum. I'm not saying get rid of it, just move the attention back onto the proper discussions.

On the forum index I wouldnt have two sidebars, the boards look incredibly squashed and I have quite a wide screen. You dont need the right hand side sidebar on the board index - all that info is displayed within the info center.

Get new Twitter and Facebook Icons! Those look awful. Get two matching ones with transparent background that fit either side of each other. It will look much, much neater. You can get some fab icons that would look great on your site.

shout box now at bottom,all right column items gone,all that remains is the icons,

Im never been a fan of any kind of shout boxes or chat scripts.  Simply because the post count in the forum will never grow as expected. Tho', i use it for admins only on meeting day.

I would tho' hide the shoutbox from guests.

Other than that is a good start.   You jjust need to logout and look at the forum as a guest and see what you dont like and what can be improved.

There a bunch social network icong with black backgrounds.   Search google images for "twitter logo black" and so on.
