Is this your site?
nielsbauergames.com/forum

Did you install any other mods? It looks like you have a missing close of a function or conditional...

No, our site is hxxp:kimkins.com [nonactive]

Quoteecho '
</feed>';

Seems to be the last output in the XML.php file, other than obExit(false); at the end of the funtion. It seems like this data is displayed somewhere between the two lines for this site.

RSS Feed: hxxp:www.kimkins.com/members/index.php?zc=.xml;type=rss;get=articles [nonactive]

You'll notice if you look at the source there's a very long string on the final line.

Kindred

that suggests that a) your site was hacked, b) you installed a mod which targets that other site for some reason or c) you have a host who automatically inserts junk at the beginning or end of every file.

hi there wondering if anybody could help me i am using 2.0 rc1.2 and i had previously installed version 0.7.9 of this mod but i had some small problems with it one of which was that when it came to the "New blogs will be visible to the following member groups by default:" function no matter how many groups i did or didnt select it always saved the same the first group selected, the third group selected and the last group selected.

i recently uninstalled that version deletted all the files etc and then installed  0.8.1 all went fine and everything works except i am still getting the same problem with the new blogs visable thing plus on individual blog control panels it also occurs with groups allowed acsess and groups allowed to post settings.

interestingly neither of those two settings include 'guest' and so the first, third and last groups in the list are different to the new blogs settings as its list starts with guest.

so i know its not that i'm only being allowed to give acsess to particular groups, rather that i'm only being allowed to save settings for particular positions in the group list.

can anybody give me a clue because it has me stumped.

thanks

the only way I know to do it is to directly edit the database...

Hi,
I've installed the zCommunity Blog system on my forums.  However have a couple issues.

1. When I login my administrator account, and click on Blogs in navigation menu, all seems fine, I can see users blogs.  But when I login as a regular member, all I can see is my own blogs (that which I created as a regular member), I can Not see other regular members blogs.

1. Fixed, somehow the blog I created as admin account was made private instead of public.  Switched it to public and it's now viewable by regular members.

2. When I am logged in as admin, I can delete my own blog, but I can not delete my forums members blogs, I would think that I as admin would have control to delete any blogs that are on my forums regardless who is the owner.  I can however, change ownership of a members blog to my own and then delete it, but that seems like a kurmudgeon way around doing this.

3.  When I am logged in as a regular forum member and create a new blog all is fine, however when I write an article in my own blog and submit it, I get this error every single time:
There appears to have been a problem with the database. Please try again.
If the problem persists, please contact the site's administrator.

The thing is though, the article I wrote and submitted as a regular member in my own regular member blog is written to the database.  All articles I write as the admin of the site do Not produce that error about a problem with the database.  If I am logged in as the administrator, I CAN view the regular members blogs and articles in those blogs without getting that error message about the database, but my regular members can not view their own, other members blogs or the administrators blogs, instead they get the error message about a problem with the database.

Even when I try to view my own blog as a regular member, I get that same error message as written in number 3 above.  When I am viewing the blogs as a guest, I can read all the blogs just fine without getting that problem with the database error message, it's apparently only when I am logged in as a regular member that I get the problem with the database error message when either writing a new article or trying to read any of the blogs available regardless if they are other regular members blogs or ones created by the administrator.

I have set the permissions in the blog control panel for all my members to be regular blog members permissions so Im thinking it's not a permissions problem but I don't know what else it might be.

I run SMF 1.1.10

Any clues what I forgot to do maybe or how to fix this problem?

Thanks,

Hello. I've just installed the most recent version of zCommunity on SMF 1.1.10. It's a beautiful program, so thank you Charles for all the work you've put into it!

I do have one question about using zCommunity with other themes, though. Right now, Crip's "Headline" theme is my site's default, and zCommunity looks great with that theme. It's just that the two mouseover menus on the left side of blog posts are invisible. There are no broken image icons... and if I mouseover the areas where these menus are supposed to be, the functions still work. I'm talking about the options button that allows you to edit, lock, delete, or print blog entries... and also the bookmarking button.

They're there... they're just invisible. These buttons do appear properly when I load the SMF Core theme, so I know they're there... It's just gotta be a small piece of code I have to paste into my current theme to get them to appear, doesn't it?

darkness,

It would involve database reads and displays....   I am not really certain how tightly this mod is coded. I use it mostly out of the box with a few tweaks to make it work on RC1.2.  Also, unfortunately, I do not have time to re-code other people's mods.   I have a few mods of my own that are waiting, plus charter members' support.
