Last seen mod

Im pretty certain that this mod doesnt exist, so im kindly asking you awesome php programmers if you can mod it for us.

The last seen mod will display the date a user was last logged in.  If he was logged in say 3 hrs ago, it will say "last seen: 3hrs ago"

All of this will be under the users avatar.

can anyone make this for us plz ?
Would the database take a big hit for this kind for this kind of query??

perhaps  users can have the option to turn this OFF in their control panel.
