Forgive my ignorance but what package info do I change?  I tried re-installing this mod after upgrading to 1.1.1 but it failed on updating 3 of the files.

Greek

Open the file package-info.xml
In line <!DOCTYPE package-info SYSTEM "http://www.simplemachines.org/xml/package-info add ;version_emulate=1.1-RC3

The result is:
<!DOCTYPE package-info SYSTEM "http://www.simplemachines.org/xml/package-info;version_emulate=1.1-RC3">

Save and close.

Is this going to be updated for 1.1.1???  I really depend on this mod for making my life much easier but since upgrading to 1.1.1 I can't get it to install again.  :(

I'm also trying to use this with 1.1.2 and can't get it to work.

So I tried adding ;version_emulate=1.1.2 in the package-info.xml and BoardRegPW1_0.xml files... but when I go to add the package in my package manager, I'm getting the following errors:

1.     Execute Modification     BoardRegPW1_0.xml     Modification parse error
2.    Execute Modification    -    Modification parse error

Can anyone help?  I've attached the 2 xml files that I've modified.

I'm a total newbie so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

The changes made in SMF 1.1.2 to improve the product have made it such that a simple version emulate won't manage to install this, rather ancient in SMF terms, mod. This mod has been abandoned for two years now and the code would need work to bring it up to date for it to be possible to install it in SMF 1.1.2

My very best advice to you is to forget about it and not waste any more of your time.

ok thanks!  I've found an alternative, very secure and it works great, very easy to use also... link is here:  hxxp:www.zubrag.com/scripts/password-protect.php [nonactive]
