never installed theme before

i have no idea what im doing, i downloaded ps_black, but everyway i try to install it, i only get a copy of the default named theme1 them2 theme3 etc etc etc...

can anyone give me a step by step?

also when i try to do it from a file, i click the file, but it doesnt do anything, it wont let me open

anyhelp?

i have, and i have yet to find a soultion, ive tried manual placing the files their through ftp, installing as a package, loading just the package, installing from file doesnt work....i dont know what to do...

Upload the folder to the themes directory, and erase the "theme#" from the copy of box, then put the correct folder name into the one above it .

My server likes doing that too.

hold on hold on...you got to break it down for me lol..this is what i suppose i am to do

use ftp to create "ps_black" folder  in themes directory
download and unzip psbalck
transfer all files via ftp to psblackfolder
then set install dierctory to themes/psblack

is that right?

ok mistake one...i wasnt getting all the files, i was clicking extract here, and just getting the immages folder...i changed it up now, im trying it and ill let oyu know

got it! needed to extract to isolated folder to ensure i was transferign all the files,
