went from 1.1.9 to 2.0 rc1 last night, seems to be pretty stable except I cannot install packages, keep getting 500 internal server error... I've upgraded the MySQL database to v5.0... manually chgmod the appropriate directories to 777... researching out the ying yang to try and see a fix, nothing I've done has worked, and the system error log is clean...
Best Regards,

Does it happen for any mod?

Also, please try to make sure eventually that you have a /temp folder in /Packages, chmooded to 777 if possible on your host.
By "system error log" do you mean the webserver logs?
To-do lists are for deferral. The more things you write down the later they're done... until you have 100s of lists of things you don't do.

I think you should try contacting your host, to ask what error has actually triggered this 500 - "internal" server error.
Unless perhaps you are using a cpanel from your host in which you might find somewhere the webserver logs yourself.
