I love the individualization of responses. This Mod is great.

I hope you don't mind, I modified it a bit.  You may read how and why here:

Im using SMF 1.1 RC1, non-default theme but have already followed the instructions on first page.
I have applied "Enhanced Quick Reply" mod before this.

I installed Post Reply mod successfully. Then followed the modifications on Display.template.php and Post.template.php, then uploaded the gif to the folder.

But i couldnt see the new button on my posts. Please help :(

fyi, I just installed this mod, and am using a modified Oxygen theme and it works fines, EXCEPT when someone has Quick Reply enabled. Then the button doesn't appear.  I just have the default Quick Reply, not the Enhanced.

I am using 1.0.5 with Neptune (Bloc) and The Post Reply button does not show when the Quick reply is activated.
But shows and works fine with it deactivated.

Any Ideas?

ok, I downloaded the mod file for 1.1,  how do I install this?

where do I put these .xml files?   in the main smf directory???

I tried that, but when I bring up the install.xml into my browser it shows the following error:

The XML page cannot be displayed
Cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

End tag 'file' does not match the start tag 'operation'. Error processing resource 'http://www.kurlylox.com/forum/install.x...

</file>
--^

it won't seem to execute the xml code on the server,

what am I doing wrong?

- SMF  1.1-RC1
- Reply To version: 1.0.3  (latest I saw)
- Are you using the default theme?:  no, but this is an install issue running the install.xml file

This mod isn't compatible with quick reply. Future versions may include support for it.

XML is a data presentation/representation language - it is not an executable file. Please use SMF's  package manager to install this mod.

It does not create any errors with the quick reply active.  The Post reply button just goes away if it is activated.
Otherwise you have the button available when quick rely is turned off.  So it actually works out great that way.

Did anyone else get this mod to install on v1.1 rc 2?

I got errors on the Display.Template.php section.  I had a quick look and it did change with rc2, but I didn't have time to figure out if the needed fix was substantive or cosmetic.

I also got this error. When I tried the manual change of that template with this code:

POST 13

It seemed to work at first but then I realised that I could not view threads. It said "template main cannot be loaded".

Any ideas?

I also use the core theme as our default. Where can I find the correct icons?

Thanks.

Hello,
I got a little problem after the installation of this mod, i can browse the categories, forum and sub-forums but if i wanna look into a thread than i get this:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare is_reply() (previously declared in /srv/www/htdocs/web220/html/forums/Sources/Load.php(1044) : eval()'d code:6) in /srv/www/htdocs/web220/html/forums/Sources/Load.php(1044) : eval()'d code on line 29
I have only G&S_Sticky (global announce, super sticky) installed at the moment.

Have a nice day.

I have a similar problem...

I installed the ReplyTo mod without taking note that it isn't compatible with V1.0.6 (OK, stupid I know, lessoned learned).

When I installed the mod it got a failure error on action ./Themes/default/Display.template.php.
I tried uninstalling the mod and got the same error.

Now whenever I try to open any post on the forum I get the following message:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare is_reply() (previously declared in /home/s/i/sinergylarp/public_html/forum/Sources/Load.php(1040) : eval()'d code:679) in /home/s/i/sinergylarp/public_html/forum/Sources/Load.php(1040) : eval()'d code on line 701

I posted this problem yesterday on the 'Install and Upgrade Help' board (before I thought of poting it here) and got the reply "You'll have to manually remove any changes that the ReplyTo mod made." from kegobeer. Not knowing what changes it made I don't know how to remove them so I thought best to post it here for more specific help.

Can anyone help please?

For reference I have the following installed (all installed before the fault occurred): TinyPortal 0.86, MySQL 5.0.12 Compatibility Update 1.0, PHP 4.4.0 Compatibility Update and SMF 1.0.6 Update 1.0.

Thanks, Michael

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare is_reply() means that the fution requesting definition by the compiler has already been named before.

Open the file in a text editor (./Themes/default/Display.template.php) and remove from:

function is_reply()

Too the closing function brace and see if that fixes it :)

Anybody getting this to work with 1.1 RC2?
I just tried the install and got this error message:
6.     Execute Modification     ./Themes/default/Display.template.php     Test failed

Should I go ahead with the install and try the manual changes?

thanks,
Bob
