You have to give us a bit more info than that.

When did this start?  Does it affect other membergroups?

How do I ask support questions the smart way?

Never mind this :)

I downgraded to smf 1.1.9 [well to me I upgraded to smf 1.1.9 :\] and it seems to be more compatable with more plugins anyway
[Global headers and footers etc..]

1.1.10 - I don't liek that much - very bugy.

The only difference between 1.1.10 and 1.1.9 is a small bug with the package manager (than can be worked around in the times it is actually necessary) and a security patch.

Oh :s

Can I ask why several mods are not compatable with 1.1.10 but are with 1.1.9 :s
Do we need to change the version numbers in the package or something?

Mostly it's because the author didn't update the package to include the version number.

Give it a try, and if it doesn't work, we might well have a solution for that too - but try it first. If it throws errors, stop and tell us what the error was.

For the most part, it should have to do with version number in Package-info.xml
Update that and you should be good to go :).

Actually, many mods will be just fine; many authors (me included) just say 1.1 - 1.1.99, but don't always update the mod site page to reflect it.

The alternative is to use a thing called version_emulate, but we'll get into that if you run into problems.

Indeed, but not all of them. I can't recall doing this for all my mods. Sometimes, I have to update packages on the mod site with the 1.1 - 1.1.99 for packages that refuse to install on newer releases.

As for emulating older versions, it's certainly a good tip to by pass such restrictions. Instructions can be found here.
