I just installed SMF on a new domain and loaded a database with more than 4000 members.
Before I officially re-open it and e-mail all members, I would like to make sure threads are SE friendly.

Is there any SEO mods?
How do I enable the SE friendly URLs?

What have YOU done to make your SMF rank in Google?

I have been searching a bit, but I didn't find any good answers with links, so I would love some info! Thanks!

There is a litlle search engine friendly box in the admin panel..... SMF is SEO ready, just insert keywords/description & of course content....

Would that apply to SMF hosted on Linux boxes?

I've used several different servers with various SMF installs.  It's sort of hit or miss most of the time.  Sometimes it works.  Sometimes it doesn't.  This depends 100% on the server configuration.

Either way, I'm still having hell with Google spidering and ranking my forum even with SE friendly URLs on.
