First, let me say a hearty THANK YOU!!! I just discovered SMF last week, and already we are off and running. Great job, SMF!!!!

My suggestion is that if the administrator supplies a custom logo, he/she also be allowed to supply a custom url to which the custom logo will point. My reasoning follows.

I am using "SMF 2.0 RC2" and allow use of only the "SMF Default Theme - Curve". I supplied a custom logo image in the "Logo image URL:" field.

First Reason: One of my first members is a novice in all respects. When she was on the Home page, she clicked on the custom logo and was confused because "nothing happens". Everything is actually working correctly, but to a newbie this is unexpected, especially since she saw the mouse cursor change to indicate it was over a hyperlink.

Second Reason: As a forum administrator, I would prefer a different behavior anyway. My forum is an add-on to my existing site (fyi: site is hxxp:columbusgvteam.com [nonactive] and forum is hxxp:columbusgvteam.com/forum [nonactive]), but I don't have any tight integration of the two. With my limited programming abilities and time, I'd like a very simple linkage from my forum to the main site.

Thank you for all you do, and for considering my suggestion! I apologize if it's a repeat, but I did not find it when I searched.

Another THANKS! It is so amazing that with your doco and system I was able to make a quick code change to accomplish my request -- though in a simplistic, hardcoded manner -- in just a couple of hours. What is especially cool is that given your flexible structure, I created a new theme so I didn't have to make the changes directly to the original.

Once again, NICE WORK in designing and building such accommodation in the software!
