Newbie: Looking for a sort reply mod

I'm a newbie & I'm using SMF 1.1.10 .  I'm interested in finding a modification that will add a button to a topic thread to sort the replies from oldest to newest. 

I realize that I can change this in profile>>Look and Layout>>Show most recent posts on top. 

That's fine, but in reading through posts, I often want to change the order from thread to thread.  On short threads that I've never looked at before I want to start at the beginning with the oldest post.  On very long threads where I've already read many of the replies, I'd like an easy option for switching to see the oldest post first.   They have this feature on a phpBB forum that I visit.  Thanks.

I assume you meant "On very long threads where I've already read many of the replies, I'd like an easy option for switching to see the oldest newest post first.". That should be easy to do. I'm not sure if there is already a mod that does this or not. Have you tried looking through the mod site?

If there isn't a mod that does this we can move this to the Mod Requests board.
