Hello, my old site went down a while ago and I had SMF 1.1.8 (I think) installed. I brought the site back up yesterday and decided to install the latest version of SMF 2.0. I installed it fine and everything was going smoothly until I decided to add some security addons (Since my last site was spammed like crazy because of my part doing poorly to prevent it in the first place).

So, I decided to installed the reCAPTCHA mod on my forums and I installed it fine but when I went to go check the box for the verification system to work, and entered my keys correctly, I went to register an account.. The box did not pop up and you can check this out for yourself by going to http://www.grand-games.com [nofollow] and then going to the forums.

Here is a picture of what my settings look like :

Also, I decided to check out SMF's default question asking/answering security feature since  I thought I may have made a mistake when installing the addon, but that did not work either. Can anyone please help me get through this because I need these forums up and running soon for my company.

Thank you all in advance!
Mike

EDIT*** Just thought I would let you know that I do have "Require verification on registration page" checked off on that page.

Please direct support questions for mods to the mod's own support thread.

The problem is most likely that you need to manually install it for the theme you are using. If it works on the default theme then that is likely the problem, you can see manual installation instructions on the mod's page

Oh forgot to mention that. It doesn't work on the default theme either. And the reason I am posting this here and not on the mod's page is because none of the built in SMF security features work. It's not just the mod I downloaded. Is there any fix because I wouldn't want to reinstall SMF if I can avoid that.

I did notice that something is awry, and wondered if it was mod related.

When you say the questions 'don't work', what happens/doesn't happen?

Can you also attach (NOT post the contents of, but physically attach the file) the index.php file from your forum please?

When I mean something "Doesnt work", I mean that it just doesn't show up at all when I go to register a new account. Also I am attaching the requested file.

In the anti spam page on the admin panel, do you have the Number of verification questions user must answer set to one or more?

WOOPS! I completely skipped over that question, but yeah that fixed my problem! Thank you so much hadesflames, and also thank you to the previous posters.
