ipb convertor

i have try this convertor, it work good :-)
but i have a request to make this convertor better.
In a post , if there is a link to the old website path , is it possible to change it to the new smf website path ?
example :
in my ipb forum i have some post like this one

Vous trouverez dans ce message tous les informations connues à ce jour sur ABAL3.
>>Tous les messages sur abal 3 en suivant ce lien<<

as you can see , there is a link in the post and the convertor dont change the website path.

is it possible to change this in the convertor ?

We've considered that it might be better to use a set od redirect files or a set of mod_rewrite rules, so as to avoid breaking things.

Worst case scenario: someone links to another Invision forum and the converter accidentally eats those URLs.  This is unlikely, but still a worry - and harder to detect, if something goes wrong.

The other problem is processing them: it would make the conversion take longer, although this isn't that huge a deal.
