Email Template Link

I would like to place a link instead an custom email template so that it would look like a link in a post on smf.  Basically so all the user sees in the word which in most css is underlined so the user knows it is a link.  Would I do it the same way as a regular htnl email and just wrap the word in a <a> tag?

Is there a way to do this?  I am using SMF 2.0 RC3
