is it possible to import a user name, password in csv file into a fresh smf forum

How was the .csv created? Are the passwords encrypted for SMF?

You might find this helpful although it may need some modifications depending on how your CSV is laid out and if you use password encryption.

It may also need some modification for 2.0 (if you're using it)
