How about being able to save the changes from the several edit profile screens with one button instead of having to save each screen then move onto the next. Maybe a pseudo-tabbed thing with one save changes button.

Please have a look at

http://www.myie2.com/html_en/home.htm

I like their idea with tabs (introduction, news..). I think they are preloaded, so if you click on them, there is no traffic.

That seems tailor-made for CSS and DIV tags, with the buttons setting specific layers visible or invisible.  (I think  :-\)

Which is bad mojo for cross browser compatiblity.

you are right

IE +  Opera no problems.

But with Mozilla 1.4 I can't use the tabs  :'(

(still just guessing..)

not really, browsers that don't support it would just ignore the DIV tags and placement info, wouldn't they?

So if the entire profile was done as one big form, split into named DIVs, then it would just all appear on one screen if the browser didn't support it.

Besides, IE supports CSS visible & invis now, doesn't it ? ;)

I can also live with the current solution.  :)
However the user profile, won't be updated every day. So I think it's no big issue to click OK through the profile submenu's  :)

However, maybe making it redirect to the next item... that could be done, I think.

Yeah, that will be good.
