Announce topic - Email limit problem - Group Management

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to All,

I am using Announce topic feature (While posting or creating a thread expand Additional Options..., check Announce topic. then Send an announcement, click post - which will send email to all selected group members).

Lets say my one group name is Newbie based on post count 0. It has 1000 members. When I select this group along with other group and click post which sends email to all members. Hostgator doesn't allow to send more than 500 emails in an hr in shared hosting.

How can I split the member of this Newbie group who are having 0 post count ? Any suggestion or thought please.

I am using smf 1.1.10

there is not much i can think of that would allow you to split up a group with 0 posts. in smf 2.0 there is the ability to queue the mail, I dont know how well that works though.

Thanks for reply Illori. Will wait if someone else has any opinion further on this. Otherwise, need to wait for stable release of smf 2 for upgrade.

you can not do this by default in any smf version, I would suggest you look at a new host as hostgator massivley oversell.
