How to change my urls to be search engine friendly?

I have recently set up my forum. i want to have urls which are content filled rather than number. how should i do it?

Search for "pretty urls" on the modifications area,

I can not install it. says internal server error.

Is this issue resolved now? This may be the reason you are getting that error:

It requires an Apache webserver with support for mod_rewrite and .htaccess files.

Try the suggestion in this post to see if it fixes that issue. You need to create a .htaccess file and copy/paste that information mentioned in that post.
