Modifying default SMF icon next to each forum?

There is a triangular icon with a bar through it next to each forum.  How can I remove that image file and add my own image in place of that?

Basicly the icons that you are talking about are the on.gif, on2.gif and off.gif images.  So to change these just replace them with the images that you want to use, on.gif for your new posts present, on2.gif for you new posts present in childboard, and off.gif for you no new posts icons.  You will also need to make smaller versions of on.gif labled as new_some.gif and off.gif as new_none.gif for the little icons that site underneath your boards to show people what the icons mean.
