Thanks to everyone for showing me how to add the top menu links shown here on the site, via this hack here ...
http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=360100.0

Can anyone possibly provide any info on setting up a mod that when it opens, will either auto hide or remove the header info?  ie. I l'd like to have the top links, and then the mod immediately after, to have it right at the top of the page.

Thanks
PT

You're referring to the collapsible info at the top, right? The info such as your avatar, the search box, links to unread posts, etc...

Are you using RC2/RC3 with a custom theme? Are you wanting to remove the collapsibility altogether, or just looking to have it collapsed by default?

If click the arrow next to Development above, it will hide the search bar, links to unread posts.  I did learn to do that.

But than when that is hidden, you still have Menu and advertisements showing. I'd like to hid that information as well.  But not 100% all of the time, but to have that hidden only for specific mod pages.

I can likely remove it from template completely, but if I can exclude from specific pages only, it would work better.

If you can answer Ha2's questions, I may be able to help but cannot help without knowing those answers, most significantly the version and theme. (It may not make a difference in the end but I need to know to be sure)

Link to site wouldn't hurt either.

I don't have a live site to point to yet, but I thought I had explained it well enough.

Using the forums here as the example...

Next to Development at the very top, there is a small up/down arrow that lets you hide/unhide the Search box by toggling the little arrow.  I learned how to do that in a early topic (think you helped point out the tutorial on it).

But when you toggle and hide the Search Box, you still have the Home | Help | Search..... (the main forum menu), as well as the Advertisements still showing.

I'd like to be able also hide the main forum links and advertisements as well when doing that toggle.  Either permanently and use strictly the top links, or to hide the forum links for select Mod pages only.

Sorry, for the third time: What version of SMF and what theme?

Sorry, didn't realize you needed that.  SMF 2.0 RC2 and the standard theme.  Pretty much exactly like what your seeing here on the simplemachines forums, although there at RC3

I want to remove it completely. Is it possible?
