SMF Articles: lose formating every time I edit article

Fresh install of SMF 2.0 rc3

So I create an Article, view it and everything is fine.  But, when I go to edit the article at the edit page it loses it's formatting.
I lose all spacing between paragraphs, lose font sizes and colors (although some stay, others don't).  Lose bullet point formats, etc.

I don't get any errors at all.

I'll redo my entire format trying to get everything right and click edit.  The changes save just fine and the article displays exactly as I have edited it.  Again, no errors.

If I click to edit the page again, it takes me to the edit page and in the content window everything loses it's format again. 

Total frustrating pain in the....

I have disabled WYSIWYG editor, reading that caused problems with others.  Still have the same problem.  It would do it in both WYSIWYG and BB.

I have uninstalled, reinstalled, uninstalled and deleted, redownloaded package and still get the same problem.

Any Ideas?
