Sorry when that has been asked before, but while quick searching i found no answer (maybe wrong search terms).

Is it possible to use a theme hosted on another server?
Because the forum where my theme could be used does not have ftp access for me, it would be nice to to make changes on my server.

Thanks for input.

You should switch hosting then. Theme's are a few kilobytes. For that a new server for nearly a dollar will be just not right.

It *might* be possible, but the better solution to switch hosting for your forum.

It will also affect large number of things and your forum performance might be degraded aswell if you attempt to do it that way. :)

i have unlimited traffic, so thats not the problem.

Traffic does not play a role here. Its the server speed. One server with the theme on it won't respond, then you'll see your forum only with text.

I think I didn't understand your point well from the description, can you go deep?

wait how you install smf if you dont have access to an ftp client cause even in a cpanel you have a file manager.
