How do you set permissions so guests can view forums/posts?

I site I work on has been slammed by spam recently. So, I changed forum permissions so guests can't post, and required admin approval for registrations. Now, if I log out I can even see the forums, posts or recent posts.

How do I set it so guest can view all the forums, but can't post until they're registered? I can't seem to find that anywhere.

Oops, never mind. I wasn't understanding the default Guest privileges, obviously. Thanks.
