UDATED:- email settings [2.0 RC3]

Hi ive got no idea with SMF as it's all new to me as is PHP so could you please help me out with email messages not being sent out  & removing the Help button & page from my them.

My Web host gave me this but wont tell me what to do with it so I have no idea ?   or where to put it to get e-mail working

I've gone with the theme darkmodern as it already has the forum button on it & I like the look of it I just need to get rid of the help button now & sort out why my emails are not being sent as my host gave me that info but wont help any further as im on a trial package. you see ive got a site already with a separate forum but want it all under one roof with unlimited customisation (which I don't have at the moment) so the site is on a trial domain untill I get it how I want then I will transfer my domain & shut down my old sites.

So in short just need to get rid of help button & page (can I do it by just removing the php of my server ? or will the button stay & link to nothing if so I need to find out what part of the script I need to remove.

P.S. not sure if it shows but smf = 2.0 RC3  & Smp = 2.3.2

for removing buttons you will need to edit Sources/Subs-menu.php, if you attach it here I can edit it for you

as for the info you got from your host, it's irrelevant to smf. you need to have a look at email settings in your SMF admin panel

Right ive attached the one you said  & subs/index.php as well 

Also ive looked in the email settings it only ask for smtp details which ive done for my e-mail but it doesn't work so from what ive read my host will only allow mail through one of their address but im not sure where to drop the code / info they gave me as when I use the temp email I got from them it still wont work (but im on a trial with them untill ive got the portal / forum the way I like it so if you can help me further with that aswell I would appreciate it 

UPDATE sorry I read the correctly now info they gave is irrelevant !. so any ideas ?. (on the e-mail side of things.)

Help page sorted myself but could a mod please move this now or can some one please help with why my e-mail isn't being sent


set to php default  SMTP port 25 in e-mail settings yet it wont send, & if my host wont allow any other e-mail to go through their system how do I sort this ?
(1) for validation e-mail
&
(2) for my custom contact form!.

(my host e-mail address doesn't seem to work either & I cant get their SMTP details don't know why but when I asked they gave me that info in the above post )

So in short Help button done just need my e-mail sorting now & then im all good

Hi threw trial and error ive managed to sort these issues on my own!.
