Please refer to this thread for information regarding this issue.

This was a phpBB 3.0.7-PL1 conversion and now the topic buttons are not showing. Is there any way that I can get them back.

There is no errors in the error logs.

Thanks in Advance :)

Can you please check your settings Admin > Posts and Topics > Bulletin Board Code, is it enabled? If not, please enable it.

A screenshot with that page may be useful in any case.
To-do lists are for deferral. The more things you write down the later they're done... until you have 100s of lists of things you don't do.

Could you please post a phpinfo link? (What is a phpinfo() file?)

Also, is error logging enabled? (Admin > Security and Moderation > Enable error logging)

As far as I can see at a quick look, your host has PHP 4.4.9, which is quite old... It should work just fine (it doesn't explain the problem), but it may be best to consider to have them upgrade it, if possible at all.

Then, it has error logging off for the server. (not for the forum, sure, but for the PHP engine running on the web server). It may be useful to tell them to enable it, if possible at all. In case it's enabled, hosts usually make available the logs of the server either in a special section of the control panel, either on the FTP account you have, in a Logs directory - usually.

If you wish, you can take into account to make available to us an admin account, to take a look at your forum. If you agree, please send me the credentials in a PM. Of course, if you are uncomfortable with doing so, then please don't. As you wish.
I would prefer, in case it's possible at all, to take a look at your database as well, if by any chance this odd behavior may have something to do with the conversion. But of course, you don't have to do anything, only if you agree.
(Do note also that I might not be online for the next few hours up to a day, so it may take a while.)

For the rest... do you know if before the conversion you had the buttons? Did you make any other changes meanwhile, like installing a mod, or editing the source files in SMF?

You see, I am hosted on my friend's 1&1 server and I do not have access to the CP of 1&1. All I have is FTP access.
I will notify him later when he is online to look and update PHP and whatever else has to be done!

I am more than happy to provide you with a administrator account. Details will be sent to you ASAP!

I don't recall having the buttons before the conversion because I only had SMF on it's own for approx 1 hour before converting and I didn't check at the time.

No, I haven't installed any mods to my forum, nor I haven't edited source as I do not have alot of knowledge in PHP

Your forum has javascript errors on page, that's why it fails to load smileys and bbc properly.

Can you please verify if your /Themes folder - from SMF folder - has everything uploaded in it, all files and directories? (comparing to the default installation package). Specifically, does it have a file Themes/default/scripts/script.js? And even if it does, it seems outdated.
You may find useful to simply re-upload with you FTP client (if you have FTP access, or let your friend know) the entire Themes folder from a large upgrade package to SMF your version. (yes, from a large upgrade package it would be a little better, the Themes folder should be the same with the one in the installation package, with a welcome exception).
