Hey Guys,

Thanks for stopping by - I appreciate your time.

I already have the website content I want to show.
I will be using an SMF forum to allow discussion of the above content.

However, the content is both educational/hobbyist as well as being Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced/Expert.
The site is for disabled people and is/will be free to access.

My problem is how do I structure a website that allows me to:

- Prominently show the apparatus involved
-Allow the visitor to select between Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced/Expert levels
so that the webpage is not overloaded with information and text.

Any thoughts, please?

I have spent the last few months researching this,
and I have not found anything that comes close to my model,
so I'm hoping the collective minds here might help (please).

Many thanks indeed.

Kev.

Why not use Child boards?

Example:

Board #1: How to make a PHP script
Child Board #1: Beginner
Child Board #2: Intermediate
Child Board #3: Expert

To make it look good, you can use the Tidy Boards modification.

Hi RoyalDuke,

Thanks for the reply - I really appreciate it.

Yes, you're right about the child boards and that is fantastic - thank you. I'd already considered that -
but my post refers to a webpage as opposed to the SMF forum itself. While it is super-easy to structure
it like  that in SMF (thanks, SMF guys!) I'm having a little trouble making a webpage look good with
those different levels of proficiency.

Thanks again, RoyalDuke, for your time and input - I really appreciate it!  ;-)

Hey,

You can just use a portal system and make pages or use topics (but I think pages are better and look more clean).

For example create a page with general information then use BBcode link [iurl=http://yourdomain.com/subject_"level of difficulty"[/iurl]

Do this with in ever page and bacially link one another by adding linked text on the bottom. This is a bit to manual but it will work and you can just save the format on a text format so you can copy and paste it easily.
