theme_linktree (breadcrumb) style

simple question. looking for setting that's responsible for breadcrumbs (same thing as theme_linktree in my understanding) styling. need to change the font/size. went through style.css of my template yet wasn't able to catch it it. there are references to it in at least 5 php files yet none of them have styling option included near by. am I blind or looking in the wrong place? thank you.
