Hello,

I have an SMF forum established for my company, Resonance Group, ltd..

One category on the main page, titled "Partnering Corner", has a section titled "UT Solar Car Team", which has several child boards within it. These child boards have a few threads started but I'm wondering why the thread and post counts are not showing up on the main page next to the "UT Solar Car Team" title. It always reads "0 Posts, 0 Topics", which is rather misleading.

I'm wondering if there is an option I need to set somewhere that will display the count for the child boards or if this may be some kind of bug? Any help appreciated.

Thank you,
Jason Owens

Go to Boards inside of the ACP, and go to the board which is not counting posts.  Click "Modify" on the right, and scroll to the bottom.  Make sure it's ticked to count posts in that section, or unticked to not count, whatever it says.

If that's not the issue, post back.

Hello IceXaos,

Thanks for your tip. I did check the modify section for the board, and the checkbox titled "Count Posts" is checked. Though, from what I understand from the description, it only increments the user's post counts and not the total that is displayed on the board itself. I attached an image showing the board and what is displayed on the screen. The main board has child boards and these boards have threads in them which are not being counted. Any other ideas why this is not working?

Thanks,
Jason O

Admin CP Boards > Settings > Count child's posts in parent's totals

If at first you don't succeed, use a bigger hammer. If that fails, read the manual.
