Packages/backup -- ok to delete these files? 2.0 rc 3

I have almost 300 meg of backup files in the /packages/backups directory of the public and www folders. I would like to reclaim this space.

Are there any strong reasons to keep all of these? As the site is stable and I have no intentions of deleting any mods, is it safe
to delete these backup files?

Yes, you can delete them, as long as you don't want to uninstall those mods. I believe you'd need them, to do that. (I could be wrong, though).

Why not download them all, before you delete them?

That way, if you DO need them, you can put them back!

Don't delete the directory, though. Just the contents, but ONLY the contents that are archives.
