Help with & symbol

Anytime my users post the & symbol it changes to &amp;. How can I correct this?

Any help is appreciated.

What version of SMF are you using? Have you tried updating your language pack?

upgraded to version 1.1.11 and same issue. Tried uploading updated language and didn't solve the problem.

What language packs did you upload, utf8 or just the normal english?

Use 'and' instead (as temporary measure of course.)

What is your database's collation? You can find that info in phpmyadmin.
