Guest's permission error

Hello friends,
I don't know what is wrong. My guests permission is not tampered with. I left them to view the entire forum. But now i found out that since like 3 days ago, guests can not even see the forum index. It always bring the login page, saying they have no permission to view the forum. Even when sharing forum posts on fb and other places using the sharing mods, it brings login instead of the topic's subject. Pls help. I'm using smf 2.0.1 but upgrade to the latest yesterday. I think this is a bug

admin -> features and options check allow guests to browse the forum

I feel this could be moved...

there are several discussions about moving the current theme features elsewhere, also a feature request on the tracker about this.
