How would i port my website from 1.0 to 2.0?

Well, ive been using the first version for ALONG time but all the mods coming out are only supporting 2.0 and support is dwindling for 1.0 sadly. I want to change my website over to 2.0 but i need to know to do so- I understand alot of mods will not be compatable however it's the database im concerned about.

How would i port my website from 1.0 to 2.0?

Yes i am, and i want to upgrade to 2.0's latest version. Id also like to know what would get converted and if there are any complications i.e. dataloss\memberloss.

I also want to know if i can downgrade to 1.1.11 if need be (I have everything backed up, however in the near future i might want to go back)

I just read a comment on what S-Ace said something about just replacing files? Is it that straight forward? Do i need to uninstall mods first?

Backup everything ( this is always recommended )

Then download the large upgrade package from download site, upload and overwrite all old files
then browse to http://yoursite.com/upgrade.php and follow the steps

YOu wont have to, once 2.0 final is released 1.1 branch will no longer be updated

its not updated even now, ( only security fixes )

Yes you can , but not recommended. I m sure you will like 2.0
