Greetings,

Within the last three days, any members that access our site through AOL are unable to pull up our site.  We've not implemented any new mods, it's been the same. We're currently using 1.1.11.  If you have any suggestions, I am all ears, thanks in advance,

Regards,

Gotta love AOL...Have them access through IE, Firefox or some other Browser. AOL Sucks that way. I had someone tell on my site that they could not sign into their site email with AOL, so there.

I understand AOL has it's glitches; however, we just now started having issues and we've been open for almost 6 months.  I cannot understand why an issue would just now arise.  Any other suggestions?

Understood, but have them try it anyway.

What are the members that are trying to access using AOL seeing on their screen?  Do they get an error or anything?  You might have one of the ones that are having trouble getting to your forum use the tracert command to see where the hops are stopping.

All the members that are having issues see this:

A page that says "The web address you entered is not available", and underneath that it says "You were trying to go to spiritusintusalit.com".

Unfortunately, my co-owner and I are not experienced with any computer programming; I think we have bitten off more than we can chew with this type of forum.  However, we have taught ourselves bits and pieces, but we both have never heard of a tracert command.... what is it, where would I type it, and what would we do after the fact?

Thank you in advance.

Heather

Here's a good link that probably explains how to use it better than I could.

Is it only members that are on AOL that are getting this?

Yes, only AOL users.  And thank you I'll check out the link.

Additionally you might have some of them try some of the things listed here.  Using Google this seems to be an issue with AOL.

Doesn't AOL have its own flavor of IE for a browser? Maybe it's being flaky. Or, could AOL be playing nanny and blocking your site because it mentions witchcraft, etc.? It's possible that they're censoring you, perhaps based on complaints by bluenoses. Is there some sort of "parental permissions" setting your AOL users could use, to stop being "protected"? Anyway, my ISP doesn't block you, and my browser (Firefox) doesn't have any trouble getting to your site.
