I had the people who were having issues delete the site & forum cookies. in all but one case that resolved the issue. while this worked, I'd sure like to know why this started happening all of a sudden!

Hard to say.  If deleting the cookies fixed it then for some reason the cookie had gotten corrupt.  Are there any other similarities? Same browser, ISP, etc?

We normally ask folks to open their own topic because this is a support site and it is much easier to manage that way.  Additionally it is difficult sometimes to follow several issues in the same topic because most times they are not the same.
