My permissions are not working!!!!

I am running 2.0 RC4 and it seems that permissions are not working. I was on RC1.2 and upgraded to RC4 and made some changes to membergroups. We were using set membergroups and were not using "Regular Members" at that time. We have since changed and are now using "Regular Members", but some of their permissions are not working.

For example, I have it set that they can view attachments, but they cannot see them at all. I also have guests set to view attachments and they can see them just fine. Admins can see them and the old membergroups can see them.

I checked the database and the permissions table doesn't even list group 21 (regular members) in that table.

What is going on?

Ok, never mind. Sorry for bothering everyone.

It turns out that the other admin changed the reply only board permissions and removed all permissions for regular members. I changed them back and all is working again.

The only thing I hate about a shared forum is that any other admins may make changes and I cannot keep up on them. Therefore, when an issue arises, I am unable to easily determine what is wrong.

That and my clients server admin is a lazy... Well, we don't want to be calling anyone bad names today... LOL

But seriously, I was having an email issue and the server admin said "Well, I have a forum with 17,000+ members and don't have any problems with php sendmail() and you must be doing something wrong. I said, well, my phpinfo() file states differently. He humored me and made the changes and lo and behold, it works know. Go figure...

Anyways, thanks. Basically venting. too bad my client is getting free hosting space with this host. If they were paying, I would suggest a different host immediately. This host SUCKS!!!!!
