That looks like it's a mistake in coding ... The copyright is there, as is their own

<div class="footerBar">
Copyright &copy;2010-2011, <a href="http://www.motorolaxoomforums.com/xoomforums/index.php?PHPSESSID=ukp7iiglphqcq0g3k7poiqocd2&amp;">Xoom Forum</a>. Theme by <a href="http://www.smfpersonal.net" target="_blank">Lucas-ruroken</a>.
</div>
<div class="footer">

<div align="center">

<span class="smalltext" style="display: inline; visibility: visible; font-family: Verdana, Arial, sans-serif;"><a href="http://www.simplemachines.org/" title="Simple Machines Forum" target="_blank" class="new_win">Powered by SMF 2.0 RC4</a> |
<a href="http://www.simplemachines.org/about/copyright.php" title="Free Forum Software" target="_blank" class="new_win">SMF &copy; 2006&ndash;2011, Simple Machines LLC</a><br /><a href="http://www.simpleportal.net/" target="_blank" class="new_win">SimplePortal 2.3.3 &copy; 2008-2010, SimplePortal</a>
</span>

They are just overlapped by that butt ugly black box at the bottom :P

Still, it's not "Unaltered" as is required, ay?

JBlaze

It's been hidden with CSS, probably .footerBar

It's been hidden by <!-- SOME SMF AND OTHER STUFF HERE -->

Good catch mashby, it is done on purpose then - I just missed those...

Interestingly, SMF should be able to detect that and randomly (1/3 chance IIRC) remove the <!-- --> around it...

Maybe they disabled that. Even I know how to do that. (But, I never did it.)

Happy late realization after all the discussion above... braavo! You got it right!

There are so many ways to get around the copyright detection code it's unreal.

actually, it's not the <!-- --> lines, as far as I can tell...   it's the declaration of javascript just before the <!--.
They declare that the page should start javascript processing, but then include regulat HTML code instead of js.

BTW: The are also hiding the theme copyright and the simpleportal copyright.

I have to think that they just screwed up, because that footer is a MESS of poor, improper coding that looks like it was written by a 2 year old banging on the keyboard.

Not me, Guv! :)

Babyfacemagee

Hey, I just noticed this thread.  Didn't mean to take out the copyright...I must have messed up the coding by accident when I was putting in some links in the left of the footer.  Anyone here able to help me correct it?  I'm definitely not a coder so the help would be appreciated.  Thanks!

Was able to figure it out.  Thanks!
