Text missing when posting new topics

We recently rebuilt the website using SMF, and rebuilt the site from scratch in the hope of reposting blog from the site which used to be there. The problem is that when posting on the site, half the post is missing when posted, although it shows up right in the preview. As you reply on the comment, it gets worse, so by the third reply it only publishes one word of the whole reply. This is not happening on every board however. We are using the Rusty White theme which is new and has had a few issues, but not sure why it is doing this, and we have checked the settings over and over. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Is all of the post text getting stored in the "body" column of the "smf_messages" table for those posts?

Sorry, had problems with the people engineering the site, so moving to another server. Is it possible to have links with anchor text on this platform?
