today I got an user with e-mail: [email protected]
=> so I wanted to ban the spam...

error:

Ban on Email Address (e.g. *@badsite.com):
[email protected]

=>

Invalid email address / email address range.
Example of a valid email address: [email protected].
Example of a valid email address range: *@*.badsite.com

thanks for the report.

It's fault of the "+".
In 2.0 works fine, let's wait for a developer but it's unlikely it will be fixed in 1.1.x.

As a workaround I would suggest you to use:

Code Select Expand

o.b.r.a.c.h.t.p.r.d.z.y.n.s.k.i*@gmail.com

There are alternatives and is 1.1...but let's wait for others' input.

Just need a bit of regex tweak. I'm not sure though that this can get fixed as already SMF 2.0 is released.
