Regular members can only modify their most recent post

A permission Problem that I cannot seem to get my head around:

Regular Members, I have allowed Delete and modify of their own posts:  But the icons and links are not displaying, the only way I can get them to display is by allowing Reg Members to delete and Modify any post. 

Running 2.0 RC5   It is the same on all themes.

I did find people with the same problem in a search which I believe was solved, but no solution was given.  Which would have saved any further posts.

Hi, in the Admin CP > Post and Topics > Post Settings >Maximum time after posting to allow edit.

Is there a value in there? If not, add one. Editing is disabled if it's at 0.

Brilliant .. there was 1 in I added 0 and straight away Modify & Remove icons appeared in my old posts .

Thanks for stopping me tearing my hair out, I am alomost bald .

Cool, so that gave only them one minute to edit in. If they blinked, then the buttons would disappear.

I'll mark this as solved then.

  Oh god. I have the same thing and solved by the same way . This issue i have search solution by alot of key word. And now understood it s not an error it s just an option. Thankx alot
