Thought Ide sorted this out but no its back again.

Heres the main permissions

Now what got me worried were these 3 folders in red

So I open the themes folder and notice the stripes theme is all writeable, because for some reason it's set as apache after being uploaded and installed, and wont letme set to 755/644 because its set itself to apache.

Then I open the Sources folder and all these are set to writeable again I cant change the permissions because there set at apache.

HtsAdmin.php    Writable  (chmod: 0666)
Subs-Aeva-Admin.php    Writable  (chmod: 0755)
Subs-Aeva-Custom-Example.php    Writable  (chmod: 0755)
Subs-Aeva-Generated-Sites.php    Writable  (chmod: 0755)
Subs-Aeva-Sites.php    Writable  (chmod: 0755)
Subs-Aeva.php    Writable  (chmod: 0755)

So this makes me look again into the packages folder and hey guess what 3 of the mods installed are apache.

Why is it being so bloody picky with certain packages and themes.

Kindred

because of how your server is set up.

it looks like your server is set to identiify php as belonging to apache.
Therefore, any script-installed/created directories and files will be set which the chown=apache

as for the permissions, by default, most mods add directories at 755 and files at 666
