[Accepted] Registration activation Link instead of Password

It would be better, if you first register on a forum, you just get an mail with

registration link, which you just click on to activate your acount, instead of sending a first complicated password, which the user have to type in

Is this feature something that can be turned off in the admin panel?  I completely understand the idea of verifying an email, but I have to admit I hate when I have to go out, open my email client, login in click the new link then find my way through the user options to set a new password...

Basically, will there be a way to set it to act like the current YSE version?

Yep, the settings of YaBB SE will be maintained in SMF, only the e-mail verification will happen by link and not by a random generated password. Also the 'remind password' function has been changed the same way.
