Locked out of admin area and don't know what to do

I installed this forum about 2 months ago, we are running ver. 1.1.15. It was working fine until this morning and now I cannot login to the admin area. =login2 is appearing in the url and it says "you should enter a username" it will not let me create a new user or retrieve my password. Has our forum been hacked. What do I do? I'm backing up the databases and files right now. I have access to cpanel and phpmyadmin. Can someone help?

You said you can't even go for password retrieval. Though, if its simply case you forgot login credentials then you can reset them easily . Read : Regain Admin access

Thanks i did try that it won't let me register as a new user. I have 2 admin logins and I can't login with either one. What else can I try?

I just realized I made a change to the htaccess file yesterday and that was causing the problem, it's fixed now Thank you for your reply
