ManageSettings.php

I am a confused, with that update here, the file ManageSettings.php is altso replacing, but i have importen data inside this file with my mods, what do i do

if you are using 2.0.1 you can use the patch and it will patch that file.

if you use the package manager upgrade you dont need to upload any files or replace files.

i am use to use the small update, what is package manager and where is that located

if you are using 2.0 or 2.0.1 you can use the patches from http://custom.simplemachines.org/upgrades/ if you are no using 2.0 you should upgrade to 2.0 first and reinstall your mods.

I have been use to use Small update and lang files, if i just use the patch is that allright to do that and what about the lang so.

And another question, what about mods, i am not use to use mods but on my new site i some mods, will they work ok or altso update

if you use the small upgrade package you will ALWAYS have issues with files being overwritten that may have been modified by the upgrade. by using the patch you will almost never have this issue. also most of the time there are no language file changes between versions.

in the admin panel under scheduled tasks you need to tell the forum to run the fetch simple machines files
