I need help

I need some help.
there are 2 mods of an out side source of these mods ( from original creators)that i want to add to my SMF forum.
I want to add the

AddThis - all those share button creator
http://www.addthis.com/

The facebook "like" button/box
http://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/

MY problem is, what do i need to do so that these function on my SMF forum properly?

I have found these mods on the SMF modification sections,

but they are being neglected and need to be updated and such for them to work properly, that idea is not acceptable,And i need these mods like yesterday,so what do i need to do?

You currently have active conversations in both topics. Just because you think you need it yesterday isn't going to cause a mod author to take action. Remember this is a volunteer organization and as such, you should have some respect and appreciation (and most importantly patience) for it. Thank you.

In addition to what mashby said, if the modifications are copyrighted, even if they are being "neglected" there's not much you can do.

yeah, but if i cant get these mods from SMF cause they are being neglected,and i desperately need these mods,then i should be able to get these mods from the the creators,( not SMF mod creators)
but the actual company who developed these mods

AddThis did not write the sharing mods that we have on SMF. I wrote one of them myself, not sure who wrote the other. It's completely up to the mod author, no one else has or can control that.

so where/what topic do I go to get the SMF coding for an out side sourced mod?
cause I rather do this my self than sit and wait for something to never to occur,I need these widgets on my site desperately,and if SMF will not provide them or provide them to function properly and I'm using SMF forums,there's only 2 resolutions,1 do it my self. 2 use a different forum other than SMF,right?

O.k, maybe I'm not clear..
I need these widgets on my forum(SMF forum).and if SMF is not providing these modified widgets to function on SMF,And i desperately need these widgets on my SMF forum,there's only 2 options..get the java source code from facebook and addthis site and have it coded my self to function on SMF forum, or 2 use a different forum other that SMF right?

It is fully functional on a SMF 2.0.x  I already told you so, you just need to emulate, I already provided you with the proper link on documentation...

I could just edit the packge-info.xml to reflect the compatibility and be done with that...  but no, I actually want to enhance that mod by merging it with another similar mod, that way you get the best of both world on a single package with less file edits for free


I keeps breaking my nerves when you said:  "than sit and wait for something to never to occur"...

Take a look at some of the support topics, some people (just like you) demands new features and stuff, granted I rant about it but in the end I end up adding those features because I absolutely hate those kind of people and I prefer to keep their mouths shut by stuffing them what they want...
