Ok, im not sure where to start here, bout over the past few weeks i had learned a lot about editing code, php and css from trying to build my first forum.
ill admit i suck, I'm new to all this, but i just ran into a problem i cannot fix, and my hosting company can't really help me.

basiclly, i created a temporary domain called mgsuniversetest .co.cc for my fan site.
after a long week of editing and sleepless nights of photoshopping,
i finally created the site to my linkings, and i was ready to assign its official domain name:   mgsuniverse .com

Before switching, i thought it would be a good idea to go to the forum admin panel first, and set the forums URL to "mgsuniverse .com"
before i made the switch in my hosting directory.
(blue host)

Once finished, i went on over to my hosting and assigned my domain to the main directory folder that holds EVERYTHING about the site.
After this, i "Un-Assighned" the old co.cc domain so the contents in the directory where only linked to one domain.

now here is the weird part:

I visited the site with: mgsuniverse .com....
Everything loaded just fine, until i noticed my avatar at the top right was invalid with a ? box.
I then clicked a board to see some forum posts, and ALL of the GIFS and PNGS where missing replaced with ?s.

BUT the site template, and even the little BOARD TOPIC icons showed, and these images are all in the same folder as the GIFS and PNGs?

confused, i refreshed the page to see if it was a server issue still in transfer but suddenly after the refresh,
MY SITES ALL WHITE WITH BLUE TEXT.
Oddly enough, NOW my avatar shows up at the top of the page, with the site contents now showing in only blue text,
and if you scroll down to the board section, THEIR ICONS ARE SHOWING TOO!?!?!

why are just a few icon elements from my images directory showing but not the enter thing?
is this a Template issue directed to the Old domain?
i know this is a a lot of info but I've worked day and night on this for the past week only to have it all ruined with a simple change,
i would really appreciate the help.

the site is mgsuniverse.com
it use to be mgsuniversetest.co.cc (now unassigned to any directory)

Yup, it is indeed where the theme and other stuff are still pointing at the old domain.

Go into Admin > Configuration > Themes and Layout and in there you'll be able to update the domains attached to the theme.

witch opion exactly edits the domain?

-Manage and Install
-Theme Settings
-Member Options
-Modify Themes

i checked theme settings.
the base path is aimed at the correct folder in my hosting,
and the BASE url even says its to mgsuniverse.com?

Arantor

The base URL is fine, but each theme has its own URL... Theme Settings, reset the URL for the theme.

Oh, and the 'base URL' bit at the bottom is under a heading of 'Reset Theme URLs and Directories' with a button whose text does kind of hint that it'll attempt to reset them all for you (but it won't do it itself)

I can't thank you enough.
Ugh im so glad everything is back to normal.

I get it now, apparently it just has the "Text" in the box like you said, and you have to manually RESET it despite it showing you whats typed in the box, thats tricky, it makes you think thats whats already there.

one thing wile I'm still here,
where is the options to set the site TAGS?
i saw it all the time generally but never needed to make changes to it until now and i have no clue what i clicked when i saw it.

Arantor

What tags, exactly? If you mean the meta tags, it's possible to set somewhere in the admin panel (I forget where) but it's set for the entire site and most search engines don't use them any more anyway.
