I am logged into my Admin account, but when I go the Member Account Profile settings to assign the "primary membergroup" to a new board member, it asks to verify their password when I hit "change profile".  Any clue as to why as an admin I am expected to know a users password in order to assign their membergroup?  Am I missing a setting somewhere?

Arantor

It's asking for *your* password to verify that you're suitably empowered to make that change, just as you have to do to go into the admin panel.
Holder of controversial views, all of which my own.

ok - thanks - that should have been obvious but I was up most of the night getting this set up - just a little bleary eyed atm.

Admin>Boards.

Click "Modify", beside the board you want.

Then, look for "Permission Profile:".

I think you'll figure-out the rest. :)

Edit: Oh. The post I replied to seems to have vanished... :(

sigh - my reading comprehension is weak today.  It's fixed - officers & admins can still post and others can't.

Thanks again for the help - I'm running on sleep fumes today...

Now if I could just figure out how the heck to get eqdkp installed....

kat

No sweat!

eqdkp is not something that I know much (Read "Anything") about, I'm afraid. :(

Ok - maybe you can help me figure out how to turn off edited tag for moderators/admins in forum posts?
