It did not uninstall properly. When you were uninstalling did you get error messages?

Comment out the lines in your files calling for the portal. The error message tells you where.

actually, it is probably a much more involved task... you will have to manually go through all of the files edited by SimplePortal and make sure ALL of the code changes made by the portal are removed or un-done.

there were possibly errors during the uninstall?
the huge red warning didn't give you a hint that continuing the uninstall would cause problems?

Unless, of course, Simple Portal was the VERY LAST mod that you installed.

If it was, you might be lucky.
