a post with 40k characters causing probs

when I put a document of more than 20k characters in a post it does this...

I know what it means but why is it doing it..... can somebody tell me why it is timing out?

I have increased the value to 200k characters but one doc i posted does this. it has 40k characters

all my other posts open!

Any help???

40k is quite a big post!  Could you be hitting limits within mySQL, or the ability of your webserver to retrieve that amount of data in a timely fashion, rather than a problem with SMF itself?
