SMF 2.03. Prevent Curve them from resizing

I need to modify my curve theme and prevent it from re sizing. Can someone please tell me how to go about accomplishing this?

I have placed a custom banner and positioned it top center and when the browser shrinks, the banner moves and covers other elements.

admin > configuration > current theme
In "Forum width" set the width you want in a fixed unit of measurement (e.g. px).
