My friend started a big forum  and there is allot of child board's in there and there is a problem:

If you add child to child board than post's and thread's count's are working but not the Last post in info center...
Let me give you some kinda of map, so you don't get confused: (Note that these is just example)

Category
    Board 1
        Child of board 1
        Child 2 of board 1
    Board 2
        Child of board 2
Child of child of board 2 - These is the one that im talking about

So whatever you post in "Child of child of board 2" its updated in counters but not in last post...

As i said its possible SMF bug, but im not sure and i cant test it right now (not until tomorrow night - GMT+1)

If I'm not wrong this is by design, to avoid having to "climb" an undefined (you may have child-of-child-of-child-of....) number of parents SMF updates the board and its first parent and nothing else.

Take a peek at what I'm doing! ;D

Thx for that answer, there is one more thing (same topic)
Child of child posts count for board it is inside, does not update on board index...even i get confused with what i just said so i will try like these

Board does not update CHILD PF CHILD posts count

BOARD -> CHILD -> CHILD OF CHILD       = Board
    10           5                   50                    = Posts

Hope you will understand me...

That's exactly what he said... child board of a child board does not affect the top board - for post count or anything else for that matter.

It's done for performance reasons.
Holder of controversial views, all of which my own.
